However, if you are serious about starting a profitable and successful blog to spread it on more audience, a Self-Hosted blog is better for you with the content management system (CMS) we called WordPress (a web software).
With a Self-Hosted WordPress blog, you can build and grow your blog into your brand. You can create a successful online brand around your blog and able to monetize it the way you want.
That’s mean you’ll have full control of your blog to make it looks perfect with design, options, and whatever you want to do.
What You’ll Need to Start a WordPress Blog?
If you want to create a professional blog, you have to walk through this simple step-by-step guide:
- Sign up for a web hosting (I recommend Namecheap).
- Choose your hosting plan.
- Pick an awesome domain name for your blog.
- Complete hosting registration.
- Install WordPress.
- Start your blog journey.

1. Sign Up for a Web Hosting
We can be called it, the engine that powers your blog. If you want your WordPress website to have fast loading speeds without any issues, I recommend choosing Namecheap as your hosting provider.

There are several hosting plans to choose from WordPress Hosting on Namecheap. If you’re a beginner, you can choose the “Stellar” plan and they will give 50 SSL certificates for FREE. It’s better for a beginner.
2. Choose Your Hosting Plan
To get started, Go to Namecheap. Also, navigate to WordPress Shared Hosting plans and see the list of Namecheap hosting plans.
Think twice and more before choosing your hosting plan. You can see the difference between every price plan that you have to purchase.
However, I can recommend you to select the “Stellar” or Stellar Plus plan to get started, or you can choose any plan for your needs. Choose the billing cycle to be monthly or yearly.
3. Pick an Awesome Domain Name for Your Blog
Once you choose a preferred plan you’ll ask for a get domain name to continue to purchase your hosting plan. First, add your preferred hosting plan to the cart and navigate to buy a domain name from Namecheap directly.
If you want to buy a domain from Namecheap, additionally you’ll be charged for the domain separately from the hosting plan price.
Choose a perfect domain name and check your domain availability. If you’re ok with it, then add it to your “Cart“. (You cannot change your domain name again)

4. Complete Hosting Registration
In the final registration page, you have to complete your configurable options and payment options to own your hosting space. There you’ll see the all order summary clearly with benefits you’ll get from Namecheap.

5. Install WordPress
Now you’re an owner of a brand new Namecheap account. Now let’s trying to install WordPress in the correct way.
After you complete the sign-up process and the payment, you’ll redirect to the Namecheap account area. Go to Domain list > Manage > Products > Manage > Go to Cpanel. Now log in to your Cpanel under your brand new domain.
To install WordPress, find the “Softaculous App Installer” in Cpanel and click on “Blogs“.
Now, click the WordPress icon on the top left corner to get started with the process.
After that, you can see the short brief about the WordPress software. Read the information and click “Install” to continue the process.
Here, you can see the last steps of the installation process that you have to fill out important details.
first, choose the HTTPS as your protocol. Make sure to install your SSL certificate from Namecheap. (You can find it on Cpanel named as “Namecheap SSL“)
Choose a domain to install WordPress. (This will default as your current domain)
Scroll down and give a name to your blog and choose a username, password to login to your WordPress dashboard. (You can change these settings later, but remember the current password.)
Fill out all the details carefully and click the “Install” button on the bottom of the page.
Now WordPress will start the installation process and it will take up to 2 minutes to complete. Well, Sit back and wait for your blog to come up!
After a few minutes, the process will end and you will show the login navigation link. Go to yourblogname.com/wp-admin to login to your WordPress dashboard.
6. Start Your Blog Journey
Now, your blog ready. Just view your blog using your domain name. Navigate to WordPress dashboard and start posting some new. It’s not hard to do. WordPress is very simplified and easy to use.
You can log in to your WordPress blog dashboard from anywhere using the link yourblogname.com/wp-admin.
