If you do not see that button at the top, just drag and drop your PDF file into the Canva home. Either route works fine.

The maximum file size is 300MB per file, and you can import PDFs with up to 500 pages. This takes a few seconds, sometimes longer for bigger files.

Heavily formatted documents can shift. Legal files, multi-column layouts, and reports with complex formatting sometimes import with elements out of place.

Custom fonts get replaced. Already mentioned this above, but it’s worth repeating because it can be surprising when you first see it.

For simple PDFs like flyers, one-pagers, resumes, and presentations, Canva handles it well. For anything more technical, a dedicated PDF editor is probably the better call.
