Google announced that it will add new voices for the Google Assistant app during the last Google I / O event in 2018. Google’s WaveNet project identifies human voice and speech, creating a model and making it easier to use voice.
However, without using this voice-based model for all in the assistant conversation, Google using the recorded John Legend’s voice with the selected commands for the first time.
Most famous singer John Legend moving his amazing voice to Google Assistant users to handle some personality-related questions or commands. Now users will be able to access Legend’s voice on any Home smart speaker, smart display, or smartphone available in English.
However, his voice will only be available for a limited time in the US. Also, this voice only available for the number of commonly heard user questions and Assistant will continues the conversation in default voice for the other questions and commands.
The legend will brief you on the weather, tell jokes, Sing a song, and more. Just say “Hey Google, talk like a Legend” to get started.
That will bring you the John Legend’s voice to the Assistant easily. You can also go to your “Assistant voice” in Assistant Settings to switch to John’s voice manually.
Google will always be rolling out the new features to users. So, that is one of the promises they gave us in the last I/O event in 2018. Eventually, it was an attempt to fulfill the promises they made during the event. Hopefully, we can be surprised to hear more from them in the near future.
